August Adoration: Day 13

God of the Impossible.

"Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. For with God nothing will be impossible." Luke 1:36-37

You are God of impossible things, You listen to our deepest desires and, in Your will, You call them back to us in promise. Elizabeth was barren and you gave her a son. And not any son, but John, the one they, "will have joy and gladness at his birth. For he will be great in the eyes of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink. He will also be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb." [Luke 1:14-15]

I know my own deep desires of things that seem will never come, but I know even more the clear promises You have spoken over me. I go between confident belief that You will do what you say, and very little faith. BUT YOU! You remind me over and over again that you are faithful when I am faithless. Your promises endure even when my faith is lacking. Praise You, my God who never changes, always blesses in abundance and who works the impossible in our lives. I choose to trust You with the seeming impossibilities before me and know You are greater.
